For most of us, our lives flow along quite smoothly, with only a few bumps in the road. We may meet with certain obstacles or periodic detours, that are extremely challenging. Some obstacles are stubborn, and just seem to take their own leisurely time to shift, but they do move eventually with patience and guidance!
Others have lives, that just seem to be one long rocky road, filled with deep potholes, continual detours and breakdowns at every twist and turn.
The Lord warns us in John 16:33, that we will face challenges. We will face incidents that hinder our spiritual progress. Some challenges often attempting to distract us from serving God, as we would like to serve Him - wholeheartedly.
There are two question, I would like to ask you today:- "How do you handle your hindrances and do you respond to them according to God's Word?"
Over the last few months, the Holy Spirit, has been renewing my mind, to the use of a specific mountain moving, foundational key, which when applied, has moved certain hindrances from my life. I had previously been using this key, since first I gained knowledge of it, however, during a time of devotion, the Spirit of the Lord pointed out to me, that I needed to exercise the use of this key more effectively, in order to move certain persistent hindrances.
This key is - The Believers Authority - (Delegated Power).
Do you know many Christians don't realize, that they have the power and authority over certain circumstances and situations in their lives? That they are are asking God to do specific things in their lives, instead of exercising the authority and power, that God has already given them. Given to them, when the Lord Jesus Christ, left this earth. He didn't just leave us the Holy Spirit, He left His authority, His Power and His name! The same power that rose Jesus from the dead, is living within us and we have a responsibility to use it.
Since studying and meditating on the ministry of Jesus, and excercising the believers authority, I have noticed a remarkable difference in my prayer life. I prayer with more boldness and confidence and my faith and trust in the Lord is more grounded, deeper and unwavering. I am so excited, as I am embarking on a new adventure in faith. Pop back to the Faith Lounge and read my next post, which will reveal to you, the four words that stirred me up, and led me to commence my fervent desire, to see the miraculous power of God, manifest on a consistent basis in my life. A quest which has changed my walk with the Lord - I give Him all the glory.
Don't negate or limit the power of God in your life, due to religious traditions, which will hinder you. Just believe what God tells you (personally) in His Word.
"The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. - John 14:12Are you taking your authority and releasing it in your life ?

Hi Carole, in all honesty I'm probably not exercising my authority as a believer in Christ near enough. Thank you for nudging me to use the access that's been granted to me.
Hi Carole ~ Love this post. I have a friend that always reminds me that as a Christian I do have that power. Sometimes when things get tough I tend to forget. Thank you for reminding me also! Have a blessed day!

I am so delighted that you say I have reminded you about this powerful tool. Use it on the enemy from today and he will be frightened that you have reactivated it in your life, He will flee!

Yikes! Those two big kitty cats are most defiantly hindrances that need to be removed.
Amen! God The Holy Spirit is the source of our power.
Take care Carole and have a great week :-)

Hey Nice to hear from you Ron.
I really love big cats, I would love to see them in the wild.

Love your post! thank you for sharing...God bless you...loves soraya
Thanks Carole for reminding us to use what we have. I think the challenge with most of us is that we ignore who we are and what has been provided for us in the redemptive work of Christ. We treat them as religious concepts rather than living, livable truths. We are spirit beings in Christ's image trying to live like human beings in Adam's image.
I could not agree with you more - understanding the authority Jesus gave us will change some of our beggarly prayers to confident, restful, faith-filled commands, just like Jesus. We never saw Him beg before a barrier - some of the barriers removed themselves at His appearing and some were leveled just by thanksgiving.
If only we knew what we are toying with...

Thank you so much for joining the conversation.
It is indeed a challenge that some of us ignore who we are in Christ, whilst others do not really know!
The beggerly aspect of some prayers is something, I was going to touch on in my next post.
God Bless, please pass by again, even your comments are full of wisdom. Much appreciated.
This post is a fresh reminder for me to never forget the power that is within me
A lot of the time we are like the man in Jam 1:24 -and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
Thank you for sharing and I cant wait to read the next post.

I pray that more of the Body of Christ will come to know that there is much, much more for us.
The Lord says in Isaiah 45:3,
He will give us hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places.
We just need to dig deeper into the Word and we will find those treasures, which will reveal the answers to all our needs.
Blessings to you and yours :)
Hi Carol;
What an inspiring post of the power that IS within us! :) We should approach each conflict and situation with the fruit of the spirit; with faith and a patient and gentle manner willing to do whatever God is speaking in our hearts and directing us to do.
Glad I found your blog this morning!
Blessings and hugs for a joyful day!

Hi Carole,
What hinders me is when my mind is consumed with thought/worry and I can't get my mind off of it and focus on Him and pray or read scripture. I must always remember He has authority. Thank you for sharing and also stopping by my blog and congrats on my coming wedding.
Many blessings,
Ken
Ken . Whatever we are going through God has the answer - let Him 'worry', about it.

Hi Carole -
Looking forward to your next post, dear lady of GOD!
Sometimes a little hindrance looks like a lion blocking our Christian walk. We just have to remember that nothing can stop us from following our precious Lord.
Love your post. Thank you!!! Your question calls to mind a phrase my very dear and godly friend shares with me whenever I'm facing an obstacle: "Turn and rejoice." I find that if I turn from what I'm facing and lift my hands and praise Him, He fights the battles for me. I am also learning more and more of the power of thanksgiving - Ps 55 - it creates a way for God's blessing and salvation to flow!!!! Good stuff!
Lioneagle
God bless you, I will post the continuation shortly - all will be revealed.

Praise God, we must set our faces as flint and let no hindrance prevent us holding onto the victory that we have in Christ Jesus.
Jill
I appreciate you taking the time to visit my blog and join in the conversation. Turn and rejoice! - Such powerful words of action, that I am going to include in my stance against the evil one! Thank you for that faith nugget, Jill.
Very good post!
Question: "How do you handle your hindrances and do you respond to them according to God's Word?"
for many years I was guilty and filled with fear and doubt. now i have learned to A.S.K. Ask Seek & Knock! I pray and allow the holy spirit to lead and direct me!
it is so true many Christians don't realize, that they have the power and authority over certain circumstances and situations in their lives thus stress, doubt and i believe the leading reason for so much depression!
Keep writing and allowing the Lord to use you!
Great post Carole! I find great enjoyment in reading those things God has placed on your heart to share! Thank you and blessings to you! -- Sebastian
